I went to Ulta the other day with the goal of returning a foundation and not purchasing anything, but of course I failed. I couldn’t walk out without buying a few things I had my eye on. Willpower lost.
I have been wanting to try out the new Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection brushes. I’ve read reviews that they’re amazing and some that say they are the worst brushes ever, so I had to get them to try them out for myself. There were too many different opinions to not buy these and test the brushes.
Although I love Philosophy’s skin care, I have never tried one of their makeup products. I couldn’t decide between Miracle Worker or Hope in a Jar foundation, but Miracle Worker felt like butter when I swatched it on my hand. I might have chosen wrong, though, because it looks like this is made for normal to dry skin and my skin is oily. I’ll give it a whirl for a couple days and see if I like it. I can always exchange it for the other foundation if this doesn’t suit me. (BTW – the main reason I scooped up one of these foundations is because one of my favorite makeup artists – Kevin James Bennett – helped formulate this line.)
And lastly – stores know exactly what they are doing when they put shopping racks near the register. I was browsing through an impulse rack and grabbed this pretty Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lipgloss. I purchased Hypnotist, a holographic violet peach that was too pretty to pass up.
What did you score during your last Ulta run? Have you tried any of these goodies?
