I have been trying to sit down and write about Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks for 2 weeks, but I’m too excited to get the words down. These are my current favorite lippies because they’re so fantastic!
Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks are vibrant, long lasting lipcolors. They are a gloss, stain, and liquid lipstick combined into one product. The soft, pointed applicator allows for a precise application.
I purchased Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks in Nude, Peony and Violet wanting to compare them to LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints. Even though I love my flashy LA Girl ones, these long-wearing Too Faced products are on a completely different level of awesome.
These lippies are soft, creamy and packed with high-impact color. They melt onto your lips like butter, but feel weightless and non-sticky.
They actually don’t have much shine, but there is a slight glossy finish after it dries down. The glossiness fades after a couple hours, but the vivid color stays. I haven’t had any issues with bleeding, even when I don’t line my lips with a neutral colored lipliner.
While wearing Melted Liquid Lipsticks, there is hardly a need to touch up. I apply it early in the morning, and by noon the colors are still vibrant and pretty.
After a few hours, these will start to make your lips feel a bit dry. I simply apply lip balm over Melted Liquid Lipsticks to take care of that. It does settle a bit into my lip lines, but that isn’t a deal breaker for me because I have LOTS of ridges in my lips, so I tend to expect that for long-wear products.
Transfer to cups (and my hubby’s cheek) varies depending on the color. Peony transferred heavily for me, while violet and nude had minimal transfer. I drink through a straw though, because despite the fact these are long lasting, they do not hold up well against food. Whether it is a salad or pizza, I have to reapply after eating.
Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks are $21 on sephora.com. They released new shades last month, and I can’t wait to get my hands on them!
