What a weekend! After LuckyFABB, LuckyFABB brunch, networking, shopping, movie-watching, and burning myself with a curling iron, I made it to work just in time Sunday morning, but now am burnt out. I need another weekend after my weekend to recharge!
LuckyFabb is a fashion and beauty blogger conference focused on getting bloggers inspired and informed. There were 2 levels of tickets – general admission and all-access. By the time I got around to buying my ticket, only general admission remained. The difference? All-access got you into the VIP gifting suite, which I heard was amazing.
Day one started off with petite breakfast items, a welcome by Eva Chen and panelists discussing Next-Level Tech. Shortly after, Sophia Amoruso, founder of Nasty Gal, visited the stage and discussed her start, her new book and her clothing.
We had a break and headed into the “brand experiences” portion, where we viewed and entered to win items from various sponsors, like Caravelle New York and Wendy’s. I took advantage of the P&G beauty stations and got a quick touch up from makeup artist Kirin Bhatty.
After the break, we relaxed in our seats as we had a “Style Conversation with Nicole Richie.” She discussed her House of Harlow 1960 line, gardening and so much more. This panel made me see Nicole Richie as a real person, as some celebrities can come off very plastic. She sounds down to earth and fun.
We ate lunch, then broke into 3 groups into our pre-selected panelist sessions. I selected: Grow Your Traffic/SEO Checklist, Insta #IRL Beauty School Brought to you by Covergirl, Olay Fresh Effects, Pantene & Secret and Working with Brands.
The panel titles give you an idea of the topic that was discussed, and Insta #IRL Beauty School was definitely my fave. Makeup Artist Kirin Bhatty shared with us various P&G products and showed us how to use our Covergirl TruMagic products. Kirin has worked with a ton of celebs, and she was hilariously entertaining & such a doll.
Following the panels, we had another break and wrapped up the day with a “Style Conversation with Coco Rocha.” Coco Rocha discussed her blog, her career and what she is doing to improve the modeling career lifestyle.
Day two was a breezy, outdoor brunch with tasty salads, French toast and grilled chicken. I met more fabulous bloggers Saturday and relaxed while I waited for my gift bag. Unfortunately, I was a bit impatient on Saturday. Although I had a great time chatting with other bloggers, I had to run out of there in a hurry as I had plans with the hub. I didn’t know Saturday brunch was mandatory until Friday!
I had a great time and would love to attend LuckyFabb 2015. I made great connections and scored some amazing products, but one mistake I made on Friday – I didn’t have a statement piece! I had my fun leopard print & pink flats, but a statement necklace or bracelets would’ve been ideal.
Check out Instagram for a whole-lotta fashion photos from LuckyFabb 2014. My haul goodies are below. When am I going to get through all this!? =)
