Pixi Beauty Brow Powder Palette Review

Pixi Beauty Brow Powder Palette 1

Do you ever get a new piece of makeup and say “this is my new favorite thing!” That’s how I feel about Pixi’s new Brow Powder Palette. I always seem to have a “new favorite thing,” and currently, it’s this palette.

Pixi’s Brow Powder Palette contains 4 brow colors and 2 highlight colors – all matte shades. You can select one shade and combine 2 or 3 to get your perfect brow color. I currently use shades 4 & 5 mixed together for work and everyday makeup. If I wear a lot of eye makeup, I like a slightly darker brow. I can use shade 5 or mix 5 & 6 for a stronger eyebrow with my bolder makeup.

Each color in this palette is buttery and soft. They all feel like velvet between my fingers. The only mild exception is the black shade. It still feels smooth, but not as smooth as the other 5 colors. I find that this is pretty normal for black powders. The good thing, though, is that it is still soft and blendable.

I really like the slim, compact design of this palette. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and opens completely flat. This eyebrow palette is also extremely versatile – you can use the shades as eyeshadows or wet an angled brush lightly to use as eyeliner.

I never use brushes that come with palettes, and this is no exception. But I do think the angled side of this included brush looks promising. It looks like the brush I currently use for my brows, just with a shorter handle.

I prefer powders for my brow over pencils and gels, and Pixi’s Brow Powder Palette really gets my need for multiple colors and matte highlight shades. Plus, this palette is very affordable! It retails for only $12 on pixibeauty.com and target.com

  1. I like being able to mix your own perfect shade, or combine two to get a perfect match, but I just feel like so many of these shades would go to waste! I wish Pixi would come out with a powder brow duo (kind of like Anastasia) for cheaper (maybe even like $6) so the other colors don’t just sit there collecting dust. Though they might be usable as eyeshadows, I feel like these colors are so basic that they’re in every neutral palette nowadays. Great review, your brows are on point!
