PHAMExpo 2013 Recap, Photos and Haul

What an amazing event! I attended PHAMExpo Saturday, June 29th and there was plenty to see, do and enjoy. From speakers, to exhibitors to live demos, it was one weekend of fabulous!

I was lucky enough to hang with another beauty blogger I met just a few months ago, and time really flew by. Before we knew, it was 5:30 and time to head home.

I started my day off by waiting in line 45 minutes for Sugarpill, but it was worth it to me! Then we walked around and looked at amazing body painting and browsed some new, unreleased products and old favorites.

I finally got my hands on Ben Nye’s Banana Powder. I hope it’s as amazing as everyone says!

We saw Mama Makeup create a look for RCMA, and she was not her usually spunky self. I hope she was feeling ok. Then we saw the fab Valenté Frazier create a look: Glamour For All Occasions. Valenté has been the MUA for America’s Top Model for all 20 cycles. That’s impressive!

I ended my day by doing something unexpected – I signed up for makeup school! It’s something I’ve been contemplating for a while now, and because they were offering a great deal I went ahead and signed up. I’ve been wanting to go to this school for about a year, and I even took a tour. But “I just never got around to it.” I’m at a great job, and I really want to do this before I get too comfortable in this position. I’m very excited and even my husband is excited for me. =)

Enjoy these picture from my day at PHAMExpo. My haul photos are at the bottom.

The Lime Crime booth was very cute. I ADORE their lipsticks. The colors are very opaque and non-drying.

I was after Sugarpill’s Pro Palette ($85), until I noticed I could get all 3 palettes with the same colors for $71. Heck – $14 is $14! 😉 And I also picked up a new, unreleased sparkly red color. (Swatches to come in a future post.)

I was lucky enough to receive some free goodies from Nyx, Senna Cosmetics, and Morphe. I would have bought more, but since I signed up for makeup school, most of my cash went to the deposit. I’m looking forward to it.
