Napoleon Perdis Mattifying Mineral Primer Review

Napoleon Perdis Mattifying Mineral Powder Review

If you’re familiar with my blog, you know one of my favorite brands is Napoleon Perdis. I’ve tried a number of items from the line, all with great success. And yes, I’ve purchased each and every single item myself.

One item I have been curious to try is Napoleon Perdis Mattifying Mineral Primer. I am always on the hunt for a great primer and a powder primer just calls to me!

Mattifying Mineral Primer can be used before foundation to prep the skin and can also be used after foundation to set the skin. The jar has a unique sifter that dispenses a small amount of product at a time. Close the jar, give it a quick shake, and open it back up to dispense more product. I find that one opening is enough to prime and 2 is plenty to set & mattify your makeup. {If you’re not as oily as me, one should be enough to set your makeup.}

Mattifying Mineral Powder has a yellow-tinge, similar to Ben Nye Banana Powder, and shows up translucent on skin. I love yellow-based powders for my tan skin tone since sometimes white, colorless powders can leave a white cast. This leaves no powdery cast at all.

Because it’s a powder, it does a great job of sucking up oil from my face, and I don’t have to blot my face as early and as often as I normally do. It also helps to hide my large pores after I put on foundation. I love that I can use it as a setting powder as well. Multi-tasking products are the bees knees! =P

Besides its double-duty use, Mattifying Mineral Primer contains anti-aging antioxidants like grape seed extract and white tea extract. It’s also free of parabens and talc.

This is definitely a keeper!
