My Morning Skin Priming Routine

Morning Priming Routine with Olay ProductsSponsored post. All opinions are my own. See more below.

Mornings are never my friend. I feel like I’m always rushing to get ready, although the simplest solution to my problem is to wake up earlier for work. That’s just not going to happen. I need products that I know are effective and can depend on to keep my skin looking fresh.

It’s important that I prime my face daily to help my makeup last and look great all day. I have a crazy oily face, and without primer my foundation usually fades, slides off or transfers as the day goes on. My eye makeup will also smudge and smear, and I have to constantly touch up. My schedule doesn’t give me time for that, so I prime everyday.

I first start by applying the eye cream from the connecting Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Eye Cream & Lash Serum Duo around my eyes to help smooth my skin and soften lines, and apply the lash serum to my lashes later after I’ve curled my eyelashes. The lash serum helps to make my lashes appear thicker with mascara over, and I’ve only been applying one coat instead of my normal two since using it.

Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex Look & Color

After the eye cream, I prime my oily face with Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex. I don’t use alot of the complex on my skin, just enough to lightly cover my face and neck. It’s a creamy smooth primer, fills in all the little pores and fine lines, and makes my skin look better right away. I love that it contains light-diffusing particles. They’re almost undetectable, but make my skin look almost airbrushed soft as soon as it dries down.

The primer has a nice matte finish, and ever since I’ve been using this, my face is MUCH less oily throughout the day.

Truth be told, I thought it was a moisturizer the first time I used it and slathered it on my face. Even on day one with a ton of product, my skin stayed more matte through my work day.

After the complex, I apply an eye primer only on days I am able to apply eye makeup to work, which is not everyday! If I don’t have time for eyeshadow, I skip this step and just go with mascara after applying the rest of my makeup. Then, I jet off to work.

  1. I’m always rushing in the morning too that’s why I rely on multi-tasking products. Priming is one important step for a flawless makeup.
