Kat Von D does it again! I may be partially bias in this post because of how much I loooove Kat Von D, but she hit it out of the park with these metallic eyeshadows. I adore my liquid lipsticks, contour palette and eyeshadow palettes from her line, but these really take my heart.
There are currently 10 shades in the collection ranging from light pearls to deeper bronze and brights. Since they cost $21 each, I decided to purchase 3 to see how I like them. $63 for 3 eyeshadows can border on the insane for some.
In order, the shades I purchased below are: Thrasher (gold), Raw Power (garnet), and Black No. 1 (gunmetal).
When I received my package, I was not disappointed in quality. Metal Crush Eyeshadows are very metallic looking and loaded with lots of pigment. I’ve tried metallic shadows before, and although they look nice, they never deliver the quality of metallic I am looking for. Plus, many feel grainy when I swipe my fingers across the shadows. These 3 eyeshadows all feel velvety smooth, especially Raw Power, which feels extremely creamy and surprisingly silky for a metal shade. Raw Power also contains the strongest pigment, but Thrasher and Black No. 1 both hold their own.
As much as my wallet hates me right now, I think I have to pick up several other shades. Electric Warrior (bright green) and Synergy (bronze) are in my shopping cart, waiting for me to hit ‘purchase.’ I do wish they offered these in a palette. I’m afraid if I depot them, they will break, so I’ll let them live as singles.
Which Metal Crush shades would you buy?
