I received Foiled Love Lipstick in Adora as a birthday gift from my sister, and she knows me all too well. I was eying this color, but hesitant to buy it because I was unsure if the color would fit me. She hunted it down for me, then I snagged the Liquid Lipstick version in the Sephora clearance section and got happy as a duck. Quack!
Kat Von D Foiled Love Lipstick in Adora looks like a deep red in the tube, but on my lips it’s more of a reddish-orange.
Foiled Love Lipsticks give your lips a nice metallic finish with lots of shimmer – shimmer, NOT glitter. There is alot of color payoff in this pretty tube, and I can wear it for several hours without fading or cracking.
Because of the metallic feel, you want to make sure to hydrate your lips before applying. I used this for about 4-5 hours, then needed to apply a balm over my lips as they started to feel dry. It started to wear off shortly after that.
Foiled Love Liquid Lipstick in Adora is the exact same color as the regular Foiled Love Lipstick, but brighter and deeper. It goes from applying like a thick gloss to drying down as a lipstick that doesn’t budge for hours, even through my eating and drinking. It has a high-metallic finish that really draws attention to your lips.
I wore it for a good 7 hours before deciding to take it off for the night. My lips did feel dry after about 5 hours, but I applied balm over and had no more issues after that.
Foiled Love Liquid Lipstick is a product Kat Von D discontinued, so as pretty as it is, unfortunately you can no longer buy it. I was able to score Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Lolita, and I’ll be reviewing that very soon. Those liquid lipsticks always seem to be sold out!
