My husband gifted me with a couple items I was eyeing from It Cosmetics: Naturally Pretty Eye Shadow Palette and this My Sculpted Face Kit. He’s a keeper! I’m still playing with my new eye shadows, and I’ll post a review on that palette soon.
I was debating between this contour kit and one from Anastasia Beverly Hills, but getting an extra contour shade (totaling 4) beat out Anastasia’s!
This 6-pan kit contains 4 matte contour colors and 2 highlight colors – one white matte and one light champagne shimmer. The kit also comes with a standard guide and 2 mirrors, one with standard reflection and one magnified 5X.
I love the variety of colors in this kit! They all feel velvety smooth and contain anti-aging ingredients. Plus, the colors in this palette are also waterproof and sweatproof, but easily remove with makeup remover. With 4 varying colors, I know I’ll have a definition shade for most skin tones to correct, lift and slenderize.
I initially tried this kit out on my older sister. She is very, very white (or should I say pale?), and I used the lightest color for some light contour. I also went it with a deeper shade for a lot of definition. Contour and highlight is definitely one of my weaker points, but I’m practicing!
My last contour palette was much more chalky, and I thought I was having major problems because of my technique… maybe I was just bad at blending. These colors are very smooth and so much easier to work with! Even though I need more practice, I now know I’m headed in the right direction. The right product + the right brushes = awesome!
