This month, my ipsy Glam Bag isn’t the crème de la crème, but it isn’t horrible either. It is a nice mix of things I like and things I will gift to my sisters.
If you’re new to ipsy, it is a monthly beauty sample bag with 4-5 random products each month. You also earn points for shares & reviews and can redeem those points for pretty things – like more makeup! It’s only $10/month and you can cancel anytime. Click here to sign up.
The theme this month is Alter Ego: Dare to Be Different. This October, transform into whoever you want to be. October is the perfect month to explore different makeup looks. They can, but don’t have to be drastic or dramatic. Any small change you’ve been wanting to make, do it. Play with color. Use different shades of lipstick. Just have fun! =)
The makeup bag for October is one I will absolutely use. It is dual sided with gold on one side and patent black on the other. Very cute.
Let’s see what’s inside:
Coastal Scents Xpress Line Cosmetic Pencil
I usually say I can never have enough black eyeliner, but that was 10 pencils ago. Now I say, I can never have enough black liquid liner.
Lavanila Laboratories Pure Vanilla Deluxe Mini Roller Ball
I love vanilla for home fragrances, cookies, and cupcakes, but not on me as a scent. I will pass this to my sister who enjoys it.
AYRES ipsy EXCLUSIVE Pampas Sunrise Hand Cream
I wash my hands constantly at work because I get a little germaphobic there. It’s a clean place, but I wonder how often the door handles are cleaned. People always seem to miss those. Lotions this size are perfect to live at my desk.
theBalm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Committed
I adore theBalm Cosmetics. Their Meet Matte eyeshadow palette is my favorite from their line. I’m excited to try this pinky nude shade of liquid lipstick. I love work friendly colors.
IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes® Clinically Proven 5-in-1 Mascara
I always get disappointed when I receive mascara in my bags. Not because it’s not a great product, but because they are NEVER waterproof. And waterproof is the only type of mascara I can wear. Non-waterproof never keeps my lashes curled and can’t handle my watery eyes. Luckily, my niece is a mascara fiend, so I can always pass this to her.
