On the way back from iFabbo Con, I stopped by the Cosmetics Company Store in Gilroy for a quick look. It was my first time visiting the store, so I was squealing like a little kid on my way inside.
They had so many great brands available and much less expensive than regular retail. (Gotta love when brands move on to new collections and need to get rid of their older stock!)
Although my eyes were checking out all the great Smashbox, Clinique, MAC and Origins items, I fell in love with an Estēe Lauder lipstick in Rose Tea. It was in a little collection of skin care and lip products, and I snagged it up for only $14.
Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick is made with shea butter, apricot kernel and murumuru butter to keep your lips soft and smooth. It really does feel great on the lips and feels like I’m just wearing chapstick. There was no dry, icky feeling, even after a few hours of wear. It’s very light, but the color is buildable. The lipstick also has a slight sweet smell to it, like a sugary perfume that’s wearing off.
Rose Tea is the perfect combo of pink and nude, and I’m glad to say I finally found a color that wears nicely for my “minimal makeup required” job.
The kit also came with Pure Color Gloss in Magnificent Mauve (swatched above), which wears and blends perfectly on top of Rose Tea.
