Say hello to my everyday facial scrub: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. “Everyday” and “facial scrub” don’t usually go together with my oily face, but Daily Microfoliant is so light that my face almost welcomes it.
Daily Microfoliant is Dermalogica’s best selling product. This product was created about 13 years ago after Dermalogica founder visited Japan and noticed how bright and supple the hands were of the women working with rice crops.
This rice-based powder activates with water and gently lifts dead skin cells for brighter and smoother skin. It’s not harsh, and the small, soft grains just melt against my skin.
Daily Microfoliant also contains a mix of salicylic acid with its rice enzymes, which helps to remove dead skin cells. The green tea, ginkgo and collodial oatmeal in this product help to soothe and calm skin. There are no artificial colors or fragrances, and even though my skin is not sensitive, I like to know that.
To use, apply a shake (1/2 teaspoon) of Daily Microfoliant to wet hands, rub your hands together and mix into a creamy consistency, massage over your face and neck for about a minute or so, then rinse. Use this daily after your regular cleanser or Dermalogica prescribed cleanser. It’s easy to over-pour, so be careful. Just a small shake gives you enough for your entire face.
