During Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas, iheartoffbeat and I also attended FOUR cocktail parties after the show. It would have been 6 if we had more time!
[Missed my recap of Cosmoprof? Click here for the post + photos.]
Saturday night, Liz (iheartoffbeat) and I attended the Cosmoprof VIP Welcome Reception at the Mandalay Bay, then we headed over to Shine and Social at the Four Seasons.
The Cosmoprof Welcome Reception was a bit awkward at first. Liz and I wandered around and settled into a corner since we didn’t know anyone. Luckily, we were able to meet up with some other down-to-earth and friendly bloggers, which made the event so much better. The reception was a mingling & networking event with hors d’oeuvres and wine, which is always good.
Shine and Social was a low-key, social event to kick off Cosmoprof, hosted by Elevation Polish and Pahlish. We chatted it up with indie polish makers, bloggers and nail polish vendors while munching some more hors d’oeuvres and sipping cocktails. It was a nice way to get to know everyone and relax before heading into Cosmoprof the next day.
I ended up with tons of business cards, and tons more at the later events.
Sunday evening after Cosmoprof, we headed to the Rumor Boutique Hotel for Cocktails and Colors. I have driven by the Rumor hotel many times and always wanted to know what the inside looks like. Sadly, I didn’t take photos of the inside, but it is modern and eclectic, just like I imagined! Hopefully on a future trip to Vegas, I can book there — it’s dog-friendly!
Cocktails and Colors was a “fun-filled night of networking within the indie beauty industry.” I am not too much of a polish person – meaning I love polish and designs, but suck at doing my own nails – so all the brands I discovered at the event were new to me.
Cocktails and Colors was hosted by Cupcake Polish, Glisten & Glow, DIFFERENT Dimensions, and NailVinyls, and they were all sweethearts. I love when I walk into an event and everyone I meet is genuinely kind and easygoing.
All the polish and maker displays were very classy and super cute. Attending this event inspired me to do my own nails more often.
And the obligatory selfie from the evening:
The final cocktail party we attended was on Monday evening at Mandalay Bay. Tips and Sips was held in one of the suites at the Mandalay, and boy oh boy, that room was nice! Tips and Sips was sponsored by Nail It! Magazine & NAILPRO Magazine for brands and bloggers.
One brand that I found particularly interesting at the event was Cuccio nails. Mr Cuccio was there in person to showcase his upcoming and current collections, as well as other available products. He was such a sweet and funny person to speak with, I did not want to leave his side. His collections are gorgeous, and you can see them here.
I thought I took more photos at this event, but apparently I was wrong!
And the last obligatory selfie:
Cosmoprof and all the social events definitely made an impact on me. I have so many products to review, so many brands to thank, and so many people to connect with, I worry I won’t have time. Eek! =D Thank you to everyone – all the brands, fellow bloggers, exhibitors, and everyone I met over the 3 days at Cosmoprof. This was an incredible experience and one I won’t soon forget.
Stay tuned this week for spotlight reviews on several brands I visited at Cosmoprof!
